Abimelch’s Dream
GENESIS 20:6
And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.
Jacob’ Dream
GENESIS 28:12-16
12 And he dreamed that a ladder was set up on the earth, and the top reached heaven; the angels of God were ascending and descending on it!
13 And behold, the Lord stood beside him and said, I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your father [forefather] and the God of Isaac; I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying.
14 And your Offspring shall be as [countless as] the dust or sand of the ground, and you shall spread abroad to the west and the east and the north and the south; and by you and your Offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed and bless themselves. [Gen. 12:2-3; 13:16; 22:18; 26:4; Acts 3:25-26; Gal. 3:8, 16.]
15 And behold, I am with you and will keep (watch over you with care, take notice of) you wherever you may go, and I will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done all of which I have told you.
16 Jacob awoke from sleep and said, Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.
Jacob’s Dream
GENESIS 31:10-13
10 And it came to pass at the time that the flock conceives, that I lifted my eyes, and saw in a dream, and, behold, the he-goats which leaped upon the flock were ring streaked, speckled, and grizzled.
11 And the angel of God said unto me in the dream, Jacob: and I said, Here am I.
12 And he said, Lift now your eyes, and see: all the he-goats which leap upon the flock are ring streaked, speckled, and grizzled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee.
13 I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointed a pillar and vowed a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy nativity.
Laban’s Dream
29 It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take heed to thyself that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad
Joseph’s Dream
GENESIS 37:5-11
5 Joseph had a dream and told it to his brothers, which made them hate him even more.
6 He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had.
7 When we were binding stalks of grain in the field, my stem stood upright while your stalks gathered around it and bowed down to my branch.”
8 His brothers said, “Will you be our king and rule over us?” So they hated him even more because of the dreams he told them.
9 Joseph described another dream to his brothers: “I’ve just dreamed again, and this time the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”
10 When he described it to his father and brothers, his father scolded him and said, “What kind of dreams have you dreamed? Would I, your mother, and your brothers be supposed to come and bow down to the ground before you?”
11 His brothers were jealous of him, but his father carefully noted the matter.
Pharaoh’s Dream
GENESIS 41: 1-8
1 Two years later, the King of Egypt dreamed he was standing beside the Nile River.
2 Suddenly, seven fat, healthy cows came up from the river and started eating grass along the bank.
3 Then seven ugly, skinny cows came up out of the river and
4 Ate the fat, healthy cows. When this happened, the King woke up.
5 The King went back to sleep and had another dream. This time seven full heads of grain were growing on a single stalk.
6 Later, seven other heads of grain appeared, but they were thin and scorched by a wind from the desert.
7 The thin heads of grain swallowed the seven full heads. Again the King woke up, and it had only been a dream.
8 The following day, the King was upset. So he called in his magicians and wise men and told them what he had dreamed.
Chief Butler and Chief Baker’s Dream
11 One night, we both had dreams, and each dream had a different meaning.
12 A young Hebrew, a servant of the captain of the guard, was there with us at the time. When we told him our dreams, he explained what each of them meant,
13 And everything happened just as he said it would. I got my job back, and the cook was put to death.
Nebuchadnezzar’s Dream
Daniel 2: 1-6
1 During Nebuchadnezzar’s second year as King, he had dreams. They bothered him, and he could not sleep.
2 So the King called his wise men to come to him. They used magic and watched the stars. They did this to interpret dreams and learn what would happen in the future. The King wanted them to tell him what he had dreamed, so they came in and stood before him.
3 Then the King said to them, “I had a dream that bothers me. I want to know what it means.”
4 Then the Chaldeans answered the King. They spoke Aramaic and said, “King, live forever! Please tell your dream to us, your servants, and then we will tell you what it means.”
5 Then King Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “No, you must tell me the dream, and then you must tell me what it means. If you don’t, I will order you to be cut into pieces. And I will order your houses to be destroyed until they are dust and ashes.
6 But if you tell me my dream and explain its meaning, I will give you gifts, rewards, and great honor. So tell me about my dream and what it means.”
Joseph’s Dream
Matthew 1:20-23
20 While he was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, a descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary to be your wife. For it is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived.
21 She will have a son, and you will name him Jesus — because he will save his people from their sins.”
22 Now all this happened to make what the Lord had said through the prophet come true,
23 “A virgin will become pregnant and have a son, and he will be called Immanuel” (which means, “God is with us”).
Joseph’s Dream
Matthew 2:13-15, 19-23
13 After they were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Get up! Take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. For Herod is about to search for the child to kill him.”
14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night, and escaped to Egypt.
15 He stayed there until Herod’s death so that what the Lord spoke through the prophet might be fulfilled: Out of Egypt, I called my Son.
19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,
20 Saying, “Get up, take the child and his mother, and go to the land of Israel, because those who intended to kill the child are dead.”
21 So he got up, took the child and his mother, and entered the land of Israel.
22 But when he heard that Archelaus ruled over Judea instead of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And being warned in a dream, he withdrew to Galilee.
23 Then he settled in a town called Nazareth to fulfill what was spoken through the prophets, that he would be called a Nazarene.
The Wise Men’s Dream
Matthew 2:12
12 And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they returned to their own country by another route.
Jeremiah 23:25-28
Thus Says the Lord
25 I have heard what the prophets have said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.
26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies, even the prophets of the deceit of their own heart?
27 Who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers forgot my name for Baal.
28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the straw to the wheat? saith Jehovah
